 Dr. Patrick Okolo is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He is also Staff Gastroenterologist and Director of Interventional endoscopy at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore.
Dr. Okolo's clinical and research interests are in the areas of pancreatobiliary endoscopy, outcomes research and technology assessment. He is particularly interested in clinical teaching, developing decision making tools and guidelines as well as assessing the impact of new technologies and pharmaceutical interventions.
Dr. Okolo graduated with distinction from the College of Medicine at the University of Nigeria. He subsequently trained in clinical genetics and internal medicine at Indiana University. Thereafter, he underwent fellowship training in gastroenterology and hepatology at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore Maryland. Following fellowship training, he completed an advanced year of training in therapeutic endoscopy at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr Okolo holds a master of public health degree from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public health.
