 Dr. Christine Frissora is a faculty member of the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at The Weill Medical College of Cornell University and The New York-Presbyterian Hospital.
Dr. Frissora is an expert in Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS. Her interests in gastroenterological issues include overlap syndromes between IBS and Celiac Sprue, Functional Dyspepsia, Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), and inflammatory bowel disease.
Dr. Frissora has been published in a number of professional journals and trade publications, including Clinics of North America, The American Journal of Gastroenterology, The Pharmacogenomics Journal, Current Gastroenterology, Emergency Medicine and The Medical Letter. An impactful educator about IBS and related gastrointestinal disorders, she has participated in more than 80 invited presentations.
Dr. Frissora is a Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology, a member of Women's Health Committee for the American Medical Women's Association and the New York Society for Endoscopy. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Weill Medical College of Cornell University Alumni Association and The Hospital for Special Surgery Pediatric Orthopedic Benefit Committee.
Dr. Frissora completed her residency at The Mount Sinai Hospital and her fellowship at Columbia University. She is licensed in New York and Massachusetts, and is certified as a Diplomat in the fields of Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. Dr. Frissora received her bachelor's of science degree from Cornell University and her medical degree from Cornell University Medical College.
