 Dr. Gustavo Calleja is a board certified gastroenterologist with the Gastroenterology Care Center in Miami and an investigator with Miami Research Associates. In addition to his private practice, he is a member of the American College of Physicians (ACP) and the American Medical Association (AMA). Dr. Calleja is also affiliated with the Baptist Hospital, Healthsouth Doctor's Hospital and South Miami Hospital.
Dr. Calleja has served as a principal investigator for several studies involving gastric ulcers, duodenal ulcers, gastroesophogeal reflux disorder (GERD) and H. pylori infection. Dr. Calleja's research articles have been published in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Clinics of North America, Decision Making in GI Diseases, and Gastroenterology.
Dr. Calleja is a graduate of the University of Miami, and the University of Miami School of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine Internship at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Internal Medicine Residency at Bethesda Naval Hospital in Maryland and Gastroenterology Fellowship at the University of Miami Affiliated Hospitals.
