 Dr. Charles Bedard is an internist and gastroenterologist with Minor and James Medical Group and serves as a clinical associate professor of medicine at the University of Washington in Seattle.
Dr. Bedard's research spans several gastroenterological issues, including irritable bowel syndrome, gastroesophogeal reflux disease (GERD), functional dyspepsia, Crohn's disease, and gastric and duodenal ulcers. He has also conducted extensive research on respiratory issues and hepatitis C. Dr. Bedard has been published in a number of professional journals, including The American Journal of Gastroenterology, Journal of the Kansas Medical Society and Critical Care Medicine.
Dr. Bedard is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association, the American Gastroenterological Association, the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the King County Medical Society, the Washington State Medical Association, the Seattle Academy of Internal Medicine, the North Pacific Society of Internal Medicine and the Pacific Northwest Gastroenterology Society.
Dr. Bedard completed both his residency and fellowship programs at the University of Kansas Medical Center. He is licensed in the state of Washington, and board certified in the fields of Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. Dr. Bedard received bachelor's degrees in science and zoology from Arizona State University in Tempe and his medical degree from the University of Arizona in Tucson.
